New Razorlight Song (it's a stunner)

Here's the video the Razorlight's new single     In the Morning

bunch of chancers, but it's working

Didn't watch the eng. v . ecu. match this morning (obviously, what with meeting) and don't know if i'll bother downloading it either.  From what i hear it was dismal efforts from the england camp again.  I get the impression that ecu. had 10 men behind the ball in attempt to hold it up and wait for the counter attack, which is quite effective against the ros beefes.

Next match will no doubt be much more difficult.  I was thinking we'd be going up against Argentina, but sam says maybe portugal ....either way there's a score to settle....hopefully we'll get it right this time.

finally, a bit of good news

It takes a while but life balances out sooner or later (hrmm, might have trouble selling that to the starving kids in Africa).  Finally got some positive news coming in.  Plus the print ups are looking better than i expected.

If i can shake a few thoughts off my mind and if these sleeping pills kick in i might actually get some good solid sleep.  ....about time.

Here's the goals i've just whipped up.

Buy car this week (do not be too picky ... i'm driving a ticking time bomb, if it blows up near a schoolbus full of kids, i'd be massively blood guilty.)

Get Adam to co-operate.  That's right Adam, i'm talking to you - just trying to help you, help yourself.

Consolidate debt- this is really stacking up, time for drastic measures.

Save up for cousin's wedding - if my medical is ok by then there's no excuse not to.

Trim shrubs out front.   It's starting to look like the Ozarks.

the fine art of falling apart

I reckon sleep is an importan thing.  It's been hit and miss for a while and i think it's really starting to show through.  I can pull as  good a con as ever in the public eye, but if i'm being honest it's all gone to tatters.  Inevitably when you get to that point you end up asking 'where's my gang?   where's my wonderwall?" and if you've got neither, it falls on your shoulders to make a clear way through the mess. nevermind, you like to think, if you don't share the burden you don't share the glory.

well i'm not much of one for glory or praise. i'd settle for a good pint and good friends but for a couple hours now and then.  mind, no good moaning about it. if you're not happy with your lot, it's up to you to make the change.  and you can tell yourself that every morning, but by the time you've overcome your insecurities and anything else standing in your way, the days over and you're left to start all over again.  but enough of that, putting nose to the grindstone, doubling up the doctor visits getting my health to straights. and when the day comes, up sticks and go somewhere, which is in all honesty a frightening prospect.  third culture kid syndrom you know, what do you do if you never find a place that feels like home?  wander to keep a step ahead of your mind?....don't that make you feel warm and fuzzy inside...

    Is It Any Wonder?

Keane's latest album is  asublime bandage for heartache.  Wish I had headphones.  I'd lay myself down, turn it to 10 and come back a few days later baptised in serenity.    And i made up that nonsense as i typed it...

    coming together

a person toil for years, putting up with the incredulity and callous doubts of the skeptics - which is really really really annoying.  But at some point it all comes together - and then you can breathe a little easier and click the pavement with mancunian swagger.

It's not a matter of sheer arrogance.  You get caught in the doldrums and the things people say tend to burrow down into your mind even if you know you're right.  It's good to have a bit confidence creeping back....mind it's still like aston villa. - plenty of potential, time to start producing results

    good enough for now

It wasn't pretty but it was 3 points and a guaranteed spot in the 2nd round.  Owen seemed lacklustre (yer playing like Viduka man!) and Crouch was suffering under his own height.

Not much you can do when the opposition parks a bus in front of goal, but there should have been better finishing.

Was impressed however with the subs: Rooney, Lennon, and Downing.  Picked up the pace and did some fancy footwork - we'll really be needing that later on in the tournament.

    duff dvd recorder

Caught the first half hour of eng. v par. and left the recorder the catch the rest of it.  Piece of crap.  I know it's burned it on the disc but the recorder thinks it's a blank dvd and won't finalize it.  Gerrrr, will return it on monday.

England looked pretty good (from what i saw), but it sounds like the tactics were wide of the mark 2nd half.  C'mon sven, okay it's early days, but let's see some more daring-do.

    My Life this week

Well it has been a bizarre one hasn't it?  Quite a few ups and downs throughout.  Started not so well with being dumped - actually i think that was last week, but i'm bundling it in with this week for the sake of it.  Not sure i were dumped as i'm not sure we were going out.  Honestly i think i've spent more time with chinese lemon jugglers than my former, somewhat-nearly-girlfriend.  I'll just say this week I'm not fancied as much as a I was a while ago.  So that's a bummer, but maybe for the best.

Of course there were some positives, England beat Jamaica, Rooney's recovering well and the world cup looks very promising.  Got a new job as an advertising director.  But to top the week off I've been emailed by vicky lenton (or it's an incredibly well executed prank).  To me that's about on par with vivien leigh and george clooney showing up at your door one evening, asking if you want to go bowling then maybe catch the late film at the theatre - it just doesn't happen very often.

I'm really not sure where my head is this week. I'm relatively thick skinned but it's still managed to be an emotional rollercoaster.  I've taken next week off and will hopefully get myself back to straights.

    I've come back

So I've dallied with the myspace scene.  Not too much going on there so I've returned to trusty old MSN myspace.

What an eventful interlude it's been, shan't elaborate - you either wouldn't be interested or you've already heard more interesting versions of anything I have to say.

Have come to the realisation that I really am a sad old man.  Doomed to a miserable life of self-pity and miserable...stuff.

Having come to that realisation I can't help but feel sorry for myself.
